Melanie A. Beach, MS, RD, LDN
    VP, Director of Program Development

As the Director of Program Development for Balance and Beam℠, Melanie directs what is considered to be both the art and the science of iBeamforLife’s approach to healthful eating. She is responsible for managing and training the personal Food Coach staff and ensuring the iBeamforLife Program℠ reflects the most current thinking and scientific advances in nutrition.

A passionate advocate of teaching and understanding how food affects our physical and emotional well-being, Melanie’s training and counseling has made a direct and positive impact on improving the lives of her clients. She has worked with young students to help them better study for exams, with teens to improve their performance at sports, and with adults to decrease their blood pressure or cholesterol by helping them to make a few, yet consistent, changes to the what, when, and how they eat.

Melanie is keenly aware that many people push good nutrition to the back burner simply because of all the stressors in our lives—being over-scheduled, over worked, and taking care of other family members or friends.

Focusing on one’s own health and well-being is often forgotten. The irony? How to continue to be at one’s best when tending to ourselves last? So she, along with business partner Joseph Wheeler, decided it was high-time to help people help themselves by creating a program that empowers people to make changes and eat well for the rest of their lives.

Rest assured that Melanie practices what she preaches. Struggling like many to maintain her weight and energy level, she has worked hard throughout her adult life to feed her mind and body in a healthful and vital way. That’s why she’s so committed to making sure the iBeamforLife Program helps clients meet their wellness goals and to discover what it really feels like to be vibrant, energetic, and in control.

Melanie has been working in the fields of nutrition, health and wellness in a variety of settings for nearly seven years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science from the University of New Hampshire and her Master of Science degree in Nutrition from Boston University. Melanie is registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and has been a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association) since 1997.
